EDMAX pride themselves on a record of no reportable accidents over the business years of providing services to private public and commercial clients. This record is due primarily to proactively looking at the possibilities of risk - and addressing the risk before it happens.

We use services of a Health and Safety consultant, to provide our requirements for all H&S matters. This advice and practical assistance covers our requirements for training and general compliance, through to providing on-site guidance where appropriate.

All staff, from our Senior Contracts Manager down the organisational chart, are provided with general Health and Safety training on a regular basis and briefed on their personal responsibilities.

Contracts Managers and Supervisors are provided with Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) training, this helps site managers to develop a better understanding of the legal, moral and social responsibilities of their role, and to manage health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions.

Operatives are recruited with CSCS accreditation, or taken through CSCS as part of our training programme, therefore are Health and Safety aware from the outset. This is complimented with regular tool box training sessions provided by contracts managers and supervisors. Generic risk assessments are prepared and published to all operatives for risks such as working at heights, working in occupied premises and working with hand tools. More specific risk assessments would be prepared where it was identified that job related risks presented any sort of dangers to operatives, tenants or the general public.
